The Jubilee is a year-long celebration during which we are called to reflect on our faith, renew our commitment to God, and experience His mercy. The Jubilee has been celebrated every 25 years since the year 1300. Each Holy Year has held profound spiritual and social importance for the Church and its followers.

This is the 2,025th anniversary of the Incarnation of our Lord, an "event of great spiritual, ecclesial, and social significance in the life of the Church." The concept of "Jubilee" has its origins in the Book of Leviticus (chapter 25) as a special year of reconciliation, pilgrimage, and coming home. Before his passing, Pope Francis designated the 2025 Holy Year as a time to renew ourselves as "Pilgrims of Hope."
